While I am redoing the site you will start to see updates to the profession guides. I have received emails on when they will be updated and I finally have the time to redo them.

You are probably wondering “Why does it matter? There are plenty of guides out there.”

Well the answer is simple: The leveling guides on this site have gold in mind. Yes, you may be able to level with less mats with other guides, but with the ones on this site, you will create the items that sell quickly and help recoup most of your costs. (In some ares you might be able to make a profit!)

The first Guide to receive an update is the Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-525

The guide below shows the mats needed to craft 1 item. Depending how lucky you are, you may only need the amount of items x the number of levels. In most cases will need slightly more.

I will occasionally pick an item that costs more mats to make because it had a better Auction House value. I also vary up the items you craft so you dont end up with too many of one item to try and sell on the Auction House. In general I tend to pick mana and health pots because they tend to sell quicker and for more money than any other low level pots.

I sell them in stacks of 5 and list them about 1 hour before common raid times. This ensures I am the lowest price on the ah. I also use a 12 or 24 hour auction so I can save them to relist on the next major raid night on my server.

They sell alot less often than potions of speed, but there are some people who still use them.

I have had quite a bit of sucess. I have made posts on how I have been able to make money off crafting pots. But after today, I found out how easy it is to make gold on flasks as well. I use a flask master and craft Frost Wyrm, Endless Rage, and Stoneblood flasks. These sell for almost 20g each.

I list them in stacks of 2 right before common raid times ( I list about 40 a day around 7-7:30). I list these auctions at a 24 hour auction so I can relist them the next day around the same time.  More often than not, I will sell all of the auctions before they expire.

I avoid listing the MP5 Flasks because  on my server they don’t seem to sell as well as the other flasks. Also, I like to save my pygmy oil for the massive amounts of speed pots that I sell.

These Vellum’s sell normally for 12g+ on my server which is a nice profit margin. I usually don’t list more than 10, since they are not a daily use item like flasks or pots, I rarely sell all 10 every other day.

These dint sell for as much as the Potions of Speed I have previously covered, but they do make a small amount of profit

Ink of the sea (which can be purchased for around 2g each on my server) can be crafted or purchased to trade in for any other common ink. I routinely list about 10-20 of each ink (single stacks) and I sell many of them in a 2 day auction period. They sell price on the AH can range from 3g to 10g each. Obviously, I wouldn’t recommend trading in for 3g ones with such a low margin if you have to purchase the Ink of the sea.. But if you can craft the ink yourself, you can make an ink of the sea for around 1g each.

I will normally sell 1 of each ink here and there. Sometimes I do sell 30+ of an ink at a time when the herb market is low and the leveling Inscriptionist is impatient on waiting for more herbs to be available.
